I have been very dissatisfied with Granada Highlands. Many of the issues are "little things", but they add up quickly. Some issues:

-There were full-wall mirrors in the apartment that we needed to have removed; we had taken them off the wall, we simply needed them taken out of our unit. It took numerous phone calls and a month to get it done

-Locks on doors to the buildings are always broken; management is more concerned about the illusion of security (i.e., a drive-through gate that anyone can get through simply by mentioning a building and apartment number) than actually fixing small problems that are essential to safety

-Washing machines are constantly broken or not working properly for months at a time

-"Pet rent" is charged to pet owners at the cost of $40 per month per pet. This is a ludicrous expense when you consider that they have already taken a security deposit, which should cover any damage that may be caused by the pets

-The so-called "convenience" store is anything but. It closes by 7:00 at the latest. This is a problem, since all packages are deliver to the store for pickup by residents

-NO overhead lighting in the apartments aside from the kitchen/bathroom. This makes it almost impossible to adequately light the space (especially since the ceilings are concrete)

Given the time, energy and inconvenience of moving, I will likely renew for one year. But given another chance, knowing what I know now, I never would have moved in.
