I lived at Mayflower Apts. for a while, and it was a good place. Ed, the manager, took excellent care of the common areas and the grounds and was very helpful any time there was a maintenance issue. The building did need some updating, and the owner was working on that at the time we moved out. The hallway carpets needed an update and some painting was needed, but overall well kept. There was some noise from our upstairs neighbor, but you have to expect that in any apartment complex. This complex is on a dead end street right across from the elementary school. This was convenient for me having a young child, but I would caution that there is a very active baseball field there as well and it was sometimes a nuisance. Close to town, fairly quiet, laundry room on the premises, and security doors were nice features. The apt. had large windows and a dishwasher. During winter, the parking lot and steps were extremely well tended and I really appreciated that. Having Ed and his family living on the premises was excellent as he was willing to help out any time something was needed. The only thing that bothered me was that I knew pets weren't allowed in the apartment and some people chose not to follow that rule. However, I would say the management was more than fair and understanding with these tenants and went above and beyond to rectify these situations considerately for all involved. Overall, a nice, affordable place to call home - I only moved out because I was able to buy a home.
