I moved into the Tannery apartments in October and I've been very happy here. Oven/stove was brand new and the dishwasher looks fairly new as well. I live in the first floor loft apartment so I get a 20 foot high vaulted ceiling which rocks my world. Huge living room. The bedrooms are a little small, but it's not that bad. Two-walk in closets (one of them is slanted so it's for storage but still!). Huge windows. Maintenance, security, and office people are nice and very helpful.

You don't pay for electricity or heat... whoohoo!!!

Close to Rt 1, Rt 95, Salem, two malls... good stuff!

Things I don't like:

Walls are thin. Not an uncommon problem in apartments. On one side, I don't hear anything 90% of the time. On the other side, I hear the Dominicans talking to each other in loud voices until 10-11 PM at night sometimes.

There are holes leading into other apartments. Where the radiator pipes are, there's enough room to put your whole hand into another apartment! A radiator cover hides this a bit, but it doesn't hide the fact that you can hear people in the next apartment sometimes like they're in the same room.

Kitchen is small. My girlfriend and I will smack into each other constantly when we're in there together.

Drafty windows. I'm glad we don't pay for heat because there have been some cold days where the draft is so bad it doesn't feel like I have heat at all.

Overall, I recommend this place. There are some cons, but 99% of them you'll get with most other apartments. It's worth a look!
