Danger Zone
About a week ago my carbon minoxide alarm went off in my apartment. I called the maintenance department, he came, changed the batteries and told me not to worry because they don't even have gas in the building. However when he left, it went off again! My fiance wasn't home and when I called him he said to call maintenance back, then call 911. Yes I thought 911 was a little extreme. So I called maintenance again to let them know, they were very rude and explained that they already told me there was nothing to worry about and hung up on me. So....I called the fire department and asked if I should call 911. Needless to say about 30 seconds later the fire department was at the building explaining to me that maintenance was wrong & they should've called 911 immediately b/c there could've been a gas leek at the train station of the building that is connected to our building on the right hand side. They assured me that even if it was a dead battery maintenance should've called 911 right away! In the even that people don't know...CARBON MINOXIDE KILLS PEOPLE! IT HAS NO ODER! UNLESS THE ALARM GOES OFF YOU WOULD NEVER BE ABLE TO TELL, YOU'D JUST GOT TO BED AND NEVER WAKE UP. This apartment building is the absolute worste place you could ever live!Share This Review
