Imperial Village Apartments

I have just moved into the village and I've lived in my apartment for 2 weeks now. The buildings are very pretty, and the village is quiet overall and well taken care of. It is in close proximity to downtown Worcester, as well as numerous stores, which is very convenient. I had a very pleasant experience renting the apartment, and I consider paying $1250 for a 2-bedroom apartment a good bargain. The leasing office is open on the weekends. One very unfortunate and persistent problem with my unit as it stands right now are very creaky ceilings and knocking in the pipes. I have been woken up on multiple occasions by very loud and persistent noises coming from the ceiling and produced by my upstairs neighbor. I notified Krissy at the front desk several times about the problem, and she promised to have maintenance look at the issue, yet nothing has been done so far. It seems that they don't have a good handle on this problem. The buildings are quite old with very poor noise insulation, so be aware of this potential problem and the management's lack of desire/ability to fix it. Update, January 2017: the maintenance has done some good work on the apartment above me to fix the creaky floor issue. Noise levels are significantly lower now, and it is much easier to sleep at night.
