Welcome to summer. Hot days, and hey, here at Hillside we have a pool. Excellent! Or is it? The pool is run by kids (19-23) with no sense of how to deal with the public. The list of rules is 2 pages long, and the gaggle of old crows who rule the poolside roost will be quick to report you if you break even one. They won't give you the courtesy of asking for a problem to be resolved, they'll act like the annoying kid in school who always ran right to teacher. The impressionable children lifeguards assume that those who complain the loudest must be right, and they summarily lodge the complaints. I swear it would be comical if you didn't live there. I watched a octagenarian move her chair right to the edge of the pool (as opposed to 6 feel back where the other chairs reside) and then complain to the lifeguard when she was splashed by a child in the pool. Kafka would be proud of this place. And that's just the pool.
The rest is documented in the other reviews. Lousy apartments with shoddy construction, a site manager who acts like a throwback to 1930s Chicago (I'm waiting for her to holdout her palm for a bribe to get things done).... just awful. If you're an AARP candidate, you'll probably love it here, but if you are young, have kids, or like your management company to have the ability to exercise human judgement in issues, this is NOT the place for you. Lease is almost up, can't wait to get the heck out of here.
