I've lived at the Watch Factory for about a year and a half. For the most part I have really enjoyed living here. The historic building, exposed brick, and light-filled apartments are fantastic, and the location on the Charles River really can't be beat. The air is central (and so is heat), but the hot water / heat is gas, which can get costly in the winter time. The windows are also a bit leaky, even though they are relatively new. The appliances don't look like they've been updated in a while - my stove has traditional coils and they are an ugly white color. For what I'm paying I'd expect something a little nicer. There are some families in the building so you will occasionally hear screaming and tromping around in the hallways, which can be especially annoying since the hallways are alternating by floor (I can hear the kids making noise in the hallway and the "thud" on my ceiling right above my living room, for example). Just something to consider. I am only leaving because I bought a condo - everything has been mostly great - maintenance issues are fixed very quickly and the management team is friendly and responds to my questions quickly as well.
