Resident 2014 - 2015

We mentioned in our move-in check list that one of the bedrooms appeared to have water damage near the window; after a few rainy days the carpet in that same area began to collect water. We put in a maintenance request to have it looked at and they hired a contractor to fix the gutters outside of our building. Once the gutters were replaced we had no further leaks. However, when we moved out the front office claimed they had to replace the carpet due to water damage in that same area and billed us $300 in addition to keeping our security deposit. As a tenant, I felt that we could not have documented the water damage any more clearly over the length of the lease to avoid such charges. It was obviously a result of shoddy construction and dubious management practices (and I'm certain there was mold underneath the carpet as they never even addressed the water that was already there). During the dead of summer, the A/C was broken in the fitness center for almost a month making it unbearable to use any of the equipment, and the lone TV in front of the cardio equipment was inoperative for close to two months. The community also has a deal with Comcast which is undoubtedly to overcharge you for their pitiful service that was guaranteed to be down for 4-5 days each month. If you work from home, or just rely on the internet on a regular basis I wouldn't recommend this place. Every appliance has been pulled from a Cold War era time capsule. Our initial dryer couldn't dry a slightly damp washcloth in the course of a one hour cycle, and maintenance took 3-4 attempts at fixing it before they finally replaced it. The vent fan over the oven was loud enough to wake up the entire complex. We actually did enjoy the many paths for walking our dog, however during the winter months the snow was never cleared so these paths along with most of the parking lot was just an expansive sheet of ice. The lighting along the outdoor paths was often out. The location of the apartment complex is fairly nice, but the amenities are nowhere near worth the inflated prices they charge. After having been taken advantage of by their management I highly suggest you look elsewhere.
