Resident 2013 - 2014 Not Recommended

I recently moved from Burnam Wood and I must say I was glad to get out. The only good things I can say is that the apartments are spacious, washer dryer in unit, water included. Everything in the apartment is ancient and your electric bill will show it. They have NO amenities and everything in the apartment is the original from when they were built but they want to charge upgraded/amenity rent. They are so far behind the times with everything. You can't even pay your rent online, you have to mail it to the corporate office then they don't cash it until weeks later. The staff is not very helpful so I am thinking that all of the nice comments were made from the staff because they are all very unprofessional at Century Corp, Awalt Builders, all of them. Then when you move they want to charge you for all of the old dirty appliances that have been there forever that they aren't going to do anything to except leave it for the next person and charge them when they move out. It has to be completely dead for them to even think about replacing and even then I am sure they will find some kind of way to make it work or blame it on you. There should be a law that appliances have to be replaced after a certain amount of years, period! No, I am not a bitter previous tenant, just stating the facts. Just be aware when you look at the cheaply upgraded model that looks nothing like what you will move in to. If you are going to pay for the upgrade move somewhere that has a pool, gym, media room, etc.
