LET ME TELL YOU THE BAD FIRST...The heat/air is temperature controlled by the complex. You DO NOT have your own thermostat, and some people still have window AC units. The dumpsters are almost a 1/2 block away from your house unless you're in a building that's next to one. The laundry rooms are atrocious! They look and smell like an old basement. I am personally a little nervous to wash there when its dark since there is minimal light. Plus There are only a few washers and dryers and the space that they are in could accommodate at least 10. The complex only allows maintenance to do just that MAINTENANCE. If you were locked out or something, you would be S.O.L. since the leasing office closes at 5 promptly and is not open on weekends. When it snows or ices they move to slowly in getting the sidewalks clear, and when they do plow they don't salt or use deicer and snow is still prevalent. The bathroom fixtures are outdated, at least in my apartment. I know the apartment under me used to be the rental office and it was pretty modern. Staff are just staff, they seem as if they just come to work to come. Finally, NO PARKING after 7pm. Usually once it starts to get dark parking fills quickly.
THE GOOD... The closet space is great especially if you have a lot of clothes and/or linens. The balcony is a nice size if you just want something to sit on, not to throw wild parties. The carpeting is nice and plush. Area is overall nice and quiet outside of your occasional loud neighbor in the hallway or ambulance flying down the street. I honestly would renew my lease, but they are too expensive for me.
