I lived at Silver Spring Station Apartments at Nottingham, MD for about a year. The full rent was paid always on time . Interestingly, at the move out, I got a damage charge of approximately 500 dollars! After, many failed calls and unresponsive emails, I was able to reach the manager who explained to me that the charges were mostly due to the carpet that needed to be replaced because the technician thought that the tenant had a pet because it was so smelly. Obviously not true, I have never had a pet or had one in my apts bc I am afraid of them, never had a carpet charge in all my rental history even after a stay of 3 years straight because I am very neat. Finally, if a room is so damaged, why was it listed so quickly into the leasing market in less than 3 weeks? It was very disappointing to come across a staff with such a high level of dishonesty. I just want to bring awareness on their dishonesty and hopefully no future tenants would not be taken as a fool as I was. So, please do not sign there, and if you had already, be very cautious at the move out.
