The apartments themselves are pretty nice inside. They are fairly new so there aren't too many problems with them. When there are problems, maintenance is fast and efficient at responding. The grounds are kept up very nicely so the complex definitely has curb appeal. The surrounding area is safe, and the apartments themselves are located between two police stations. Even at night, I've never felt unsafe in the area. They apartments can be noisy at times, but keep in mind, you are living amongst college students so that should be expected. I have found most of the office staff to be unfriendly. They treat you more like a customer of their business than a tenant. However, they have been accommodating in some instances. Rent is pretty expensive for a college student, but much cheaper than equally nice apartments in the area. You definitely pay more for being near the UMBC campus. One major problem is that rent increases about 8-10% every year, but the apartments remain the same. I understand rent increasing annually, but 10% is too much for college housing. What's nice though is that the rent is all-inclusive: cable, internet, phone, utilities, washer/dryer, etc. Overall a nice place to live.
