Battery Lane Apartments
Resident · 2016 - 2017
We moved to Maryland from Texas, thus we did everything online. When we reach the apartment, it was dirty. The bathroom had broken tiles, and I can see fungus in the corner of the rooms. We had two option, move in or stay in a hotel until find another apartment. We moved in with our 1.5 yr old kid. We clean the apartment. Winter came but there was no heating in the bathroom and Kitchen. I complained, the office people came and told me it is working. There was no heat and i failed to understand how it is working. They did not fix it. Another problem was whenever we walk there was cracking noise in the wood floor. We can tell when people is walking in other apartments too. Then summer came and mouse came. We complain to the office and the manager said we are taking action. However, mouse was still there and no one came. When I keep going to them, they said its your fault that there is mouse in the apartment. I told them if its my fault then let me break the lease and leave the apartment. They did not allow that too. I keep living there with my 2 years old child and mice!! finally the pest control came and found some holes in the apartment and fix it. The mouse problem solved. As soon as the contract ends, we left the apartment. I told them if there is anything else to that they need from me? they said no, you are good. I talked over phone with them about the deposit return and they said you are good, we are processing the money. After 7 days they called me and ask for the car parking permit paper or they will charge for that too!!! If you go to the apartment, from outside it will look nice. Because the keep renovating outside. They have little maintenance inside the apartment. The people in the office seems friendly, but when you have a problem, they will run away!!
