I was one of the early people who moved into the Flats, having occupied my apartment when the building was about half full. What impressed me immediately was how hard the management worked at making the apartment a social experience. In these times, we are so locked into our jobs, smartphones, commutes that we can forget who our neighbors are. But the staff at The Flats goes above and beyond to have programming to bring us all together. I was skeptical at first, thinking this was just something that would be in place while everything was new, and the enthusiasm of management would wear off once the building was at full occupancy. But, I am happy to say, I was wrong. If anything the programming has become more extensive with a full building. In terms of the apartments and price point, you are in Bethesda. Not just Bethesda, but the heart of Bethesda! There is a price to be paid for the convenience of walking out of your door, and be steps away from the movie theater, restaurants and night life. If this isn't important to you, the price may not be justified, but for me, I thought it was well worth it. I was a heavy user of all of the wonderful resources around the area, including the Crescent Trail which is right in the back of the building. On the subject of being in the heart of Bethesda, that also comes with the downside of noise. Yes, on Saturday night, you can sometimes hear what is going on outside. Most of the time, this was minor, and I lived on the side of the building which faced the street, so I supposedly had the highest exposure to it. It really wasn't much of an issue. The building itself and the apartments are well maintained. Everything is always immaculate, and their maintenance is preemptive, not just when something breaks. The rooftop, lounge area, and fitness room were all great, and clean. I moved into a house recently, so my time at the flats has come to an end. I just handed back my keys today. And it is so strange, but, I'm actually going to miss living there. I can't remember ever feeling that way about an apartment building.

Thank you so much for taking the time to highlight your experience here at the Flats! The sense of community existent is truly what makes us the Best of Bethesda. We do not want our residents to feel at home only in the span of their own individual apartments; rather, we hope to provide an experience which allows neighbors to come together and feel a sense of pride and ownership over the community as a whole. We are so thrilled to hear that you experienced this in your time at the Flats - whether at a resident event or in daily interactions with our team. We wish you the best of luck in your new home, and please know that our door is always open! Sincerely, Becca Sherman Assistant Property Manager The Flats at Bethesda Avenue 301-683-7410
