I've lived here for a year and I just renewed my lease for another year.
Parking: There isn't always a spot directly in front of my building, but there is always one that is visible from my apartment. Snow removal in winter is adequate.
Noise: My apartment faces the main road, so there is a bit of street noise (trucks, loud cars.) As far as the neighbors....I rarely hear anything through the walls and if I do it's very faint. No one makes a lot of noise in the hall way, at least in my building.
Ground: Grounds are well kept. The grass is cut frequently and bushes and trees are well maintained.
Safety: No problems here. I've only seen a police car once at the building next to mine, which I'm sure was only a domestic disturbance. I live facing the parking lot so I can see my car which adds peace of mind. There's a good amount of lighting in the parking lot with only a few dark spots in the corners.
Construction: The fixtures and appliances are typical for any apartment, boring but efficient. The building itself is only 10 or 11 years old. The layout is great. I shar a 2 bedroom and the rooms are on oposite sides of the apartment so there's plenty of privacy. The livingroom is a bit small, but there's an eat-in kitchen which makes up for it. Lots of storage in the apartment, plus extra storage in the hallways. The full size washer and dryer in the apartment is great.
Maintenace: Staff is fairly quick to address and issues. I personaly have not had any major issues.
Staff: Friendly but hard to reach. The office is only open Monday-Friday till 5pm, which is not convenant if you work full time.
Overall: Very nice place to live. Ignore all the negative reviews. Minor crimes such as car break-ins happen everywhere. I had mine broken into at the place where I lived before here. It is a bit pricy, but just about everything is in Columbia.
Hope this helped and maybe I'll be seeing you soon!
