It was better, when I first move here two years ago. Since then, management has gotten progressively worse. Karl is great, he fixes everything almost instantly. He's the only thing The Timbers (formally Lazy Hollow) has got going for them. I had a 2 bedroom, 1 bath unit that was prefect. Then... the raised the rent. Almost $150, and they did it another person in my building. So to fight the raise, I showed up to the office with bigger units they have listed on their website for cheaper as well as their criagslist ad. They wouldn't back down on raising the rent on my unit, so I decided to move within the complex, because back then I still liked it. This current unit I live in, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a den for only about $50 then I was already paying, sounded like a dream. Nope. Appliances are dated, something is always broken. Neighbors smoke and it travels all the way up into my third floor unit and the smell stays. Parking is inconsiderate. I pay for a spot, an assigned spot, but that doesn't matter because neighbors will park there anyways, and why not, the towing company that The Timbers management decides to do business with won't tow vehicles without the apartment manager, even if you have the addendum. I never had these problems with my old unit. -Management doesn't care and is unprofessional -Maintenance man is GREAT -Building are old, so expect squeaks -Parking sucks -Expect them to raise the rent on you -And that shopping center bragged about on their website... trash. There's nothing there beside a laundry coin-mart (which you'll need because the appliances don't work) and a nail salon. Don't be fooled into thinking you're moving into a hip area where everything is walking distance. It's just a rundown strip mall.
