We've been here since May of 2006 and have never been so displeased. The staff was very friendly and accomodating at first, but that only lasted a few months before we stopped getting so much as a smile when we walk into the office to drop off the rent cheque or to pick up a package.

Within a few months of moving here, I noticed that my allergies and asthma were becomming incresingly severe. I'd moved my bed, which was against the wall, to find a small amount of mould creeping in around the baseboards. I called maintenance immediately and they said they'd have it fixed by the end of the week. I hadn't heard anything by the end of the month and by this time, the mould spot had grown about a foot high and turned very dark green and black. I was no longer able to sleep in that room. I called the Health Department, who came for an inspection and gave them thirty days to fix it. It was fixed within days, but very poorly (a spot-fix and no mould treatment)

A few days later, my roommate went to take a jacket out of the closet and noticed that the arm that was against the wall had turned green and mouldy. The bathroom celing and wall had begun to wither away and collapse as well. All of these were fixed fairly soon so that they didn't have to face the Health Deparment again, but the job was done poorly.

Our garbage disposal has been broken for about a week now and we've contacted the maintenance office many times to fix it. Each time, we've been told that it would be fixed within a day. Not being able to wash dishes after meals is getting very, very annoying.

The parking lot has very badly faded lines and one crooked car can offset the entire lot. Also, during a recent snowstorm, the lot was left unplowed for an entire day, by which time the layer of ice beneath the snow had made it almost impossible to drive safely. During the same storm, it took them approximately three days to salt the very, very, very icy sidewalks and they did it only once. I, my roommate, and several other people suffered falls on the ice, but no serious injuries.

The police visit very frequently to break up fights and whatnot, so the area isn't exactly what you would call "safe."

Recycling is not available and the dumpster area is frequently overflowing, which makes unsightly rubbish fly about the parking lot.

Six apartment units are expected to share ONE very expensive coin-op laundry machine ($2.75 per load). The laundry room is also very unkempt. We were promised that personal laundry units would be installed within months, but here we are almost a year later and, well, no laundry machines have been installed. A survey was taken in September asking if we'd "care for the luxury." I've yet to see anything done about it.

We've had frequent exterminator visits for cockroach problems, the first of which was a result of yet another Health inspection.

Needless to say, we will be moving out when our lease is up in May. Save yourself the trouble and move somewhere else.
