Disclaimer: First time renter here! I have lived here a little over a year now and have experienced my fair share of frustrations with the management and maintenance crew. It took 11 different apartment searches to settle for this one- that is when Tiffany was the property manager. I've had numerous poor experiences since my initial move in. The renovated apartment is "nice" (or so it seems), kitchen update being my favorite, however everything else is cheap and tacky. The bathroom tile comes up easily, door is nearly off the frame, and paint peels right off in every room. The biggest issue (i'm still facing, by the way) are the drains!! The bathtub drain DOES NOT DRAIN! Draino, super strength, snakes will not do it. I have gone into the office, written emails, and made phone calls to no avail. Ashley, the current property manager is a nightmare who is oftentimes short over the phone and refuses to take people seriously. I had to call the head of maintenance, Frank, directly to get the issue resolved. The creek displayed in the pictures? A real life nightmare. I was promised (as everyone else) a renovated dock--it's still caution taped and decaying. The pool? Decent, but pretty ------ in comparison. The only redeeming quality is if you've got a canoe and use it- the creek access is a nice touch. DO NOT SWIM IN IT! The rent is absolutely outrageous for almost nothing (no on site gym, recreational areas, conference rooms, security features, or parking permits). For a 2 bedroom it is $1556 with no in unit washer/dryer. Speaking of which, there's only 2 of each for every building, so doing laundry can get frustrating unless during weekday/sunday afternoons. The walls and floors are paper thin and the buildings usually reek of weed (something I've just gotten used to). Typically loud in the summer time with children running around screaming between buildings- but I have never personally had a problem with them. The security is fine, I have never had my car or apartment disturbed in any way nor have any of my guests. I've come home at all hours of the day/night and never felt threatened. On the plus side, my neighbors aren't too bad. Minus the kid below me who screams all night- he sucks. This year alone my rent was increased to a little over $63 with nothing to show for it. Disappointed and cannot wait to move out. Better than the typical "hood" apartment complexes but not worth the money. You also get charged pet rent PER pet PER month, something to make note of. Skip the place altogether and spend the money on something much nicer- should've chosen the apartments in Crofton :( Bright side: Easy access to I-97 North & South, 10 N/S, and Severna Park.
