Generally speaking the community is pretty nice. Lots of space in apartment compared to others in neighborhood and newer buildings- Originally slated to be a condo. Pros - very quiet especially if you live off the mean hallways on each floor. I don't see or hear my neighbors and a few have kids. Maintenance is pretty responsive and friendly. However, building lacks way for tenants to pay to maintain certain amenities such as cleaning blinds and vents for those on the top floors. The ceilings are extremely with blinds close to ceiling which are problem for allergy-prone individuals such as myself. Same goes for the vents. Grounds tend to be well-maintained although mold and mildew is seen on some of the breezeways. Negatives - Trash is an issue. Most of the trash rooms fill very easily as tenants refuse to put bags in chute. In addition, the abundance of Amazon boxes block entry into trash room by end of each day. There is no dumpster available to tenants to put large boxes etc. Some of the other building have a trash removal service each night, which might not be a solution but change is needed. Building managers tend to be inaccessible and somewhat unprofessional. It is impossible to get a manager to response to a call or email about issues that cannot be handled by the concierges ( these are excellent). The phone is usually unmanned during the day and voicemail comes on. All issues involving leasing etc always require time off from work and multiple trips to sort out. Annoying as hell. Smoking enforcement -- Building went smokefree a few years ago but since marijuana is now legal in MD, the building tends to ignore pot smokers. The issues is not the pot but rather the odor that seeps in hallways and travel in other apartments in the summer when tenants use the balconies to smoke. I would not recommend the building because the customer service from leasing office has steady gone down hill for the price that tenants pay. I know its not the Ritz but it still can be better.
