I lived at Strathmore Court for 3.5 years. I chose it for its location and reasonable price compared to other apartments in the area. They offer free parking, which is basically unheard of in North Bethesda. The apartments are well sound-proofed and I could only hear my neighbors if they were being especially loud. The staff was very friendly and helpful and maintenance always responded quickly. The White Flint metro is a half block away and the Pike & Rose shopping center is within walking distance.
My main issues toward the end of my living here had to do with safety. The fire alarm stopped going off on our floor about a year before we left and it wasn't fixed by the time we left, despite telling the staff multiple times and the fact that they ran alarm testing at least once since it had stopped. We could hear it going off elsewhere in the building if we listened closely, but it never would have woken us up had something serious occurred at night.
Also, the garage doors broke occasionally and would sometimes be stuck in the up position for about a week. I didn't necessarily feel unsafe because of it, but it definitely was a security issue.
Overall, I would recommend this apartment, I just hope they address the safety and security issues.
