Overall, it is a nice place to live and no apartment complex is perfect. I do think that the benefits outweigh the negatives. They seem to focus their attention on curb appeal. The grounds are maintained well. But the inside of the apartments need some TLC. The cabinets in the kitchens/ bathrooms and appliances are definitely dated. For the price, I would have expected renovations by now. There are definitely noise issues with college age kids drinking and partying into the night, a few times per month. I have complained twice about this. There is also an abandoned house on the otherside of some trees where kids play basketball every single day until after dark. I have heard them playing basketball until 3 am and shouting absenities and screeching. The first time I heard the screeching, I honestly thought a woman was being attacked-- until a figured out that someone just screeches intermittently. I am not complaining about kids playing basketball, but it is the sheer noise level that just never stops every single day-- and it is shouting, cheering, cursing, and screeching, apparently. In the winter, the snow and ice was not cleared in a satisfactory manner. Due to refreeze there was parts of the parking lot that were completely a sheet of ice. They also failed to do any kind of snow removal in the parking spots that were empty at the time the snow fell, leaving very limited parking availability at certain times of the day. Also had ongoing issues with the heat and air conditioning. i did not have heat for several days when it was below 10 degrees outside despite maintenance coming out several times to fix it. The air conditioning has never well, either, despite having very high BGE bills. I believe that a large part of the problem is related to insulation. The pool is very nice and well maintained and overall the community feels safe and the neighbors are generally courteous. .
