Beware of the slick talking personnel in Park Forest Apartment's Rental office. They will sell you dreams and hopes only to convince you under false pretense to sign a lease. They will tell you that it comes with 24-hour maintenance and that you will have onsite laundry facilities in the court that your apartment is located, when in fact, and in truth, as they all well know, this is a material misrepreentation because they do not offer 24-hour maintenance service nor do they offer onsite laundry facilities in the court that your apartment is located.

In addition, they will tell you that a one bedroom is going for $730, when in fact, and in truth, as they well know, the one bedrooms do not go for $730, they go for $750. They tell you these things to get you to come into the rental office and slick talk you into signing a lease. BEWARE.

And worst, the amount that Park Forest Apartments market their apartments for is unrealistic because the community is unsafe after dark. In fact, a murder of a teenager occurred right in the complex. And you will always hear the sounds of gun shots going off. Not less than a week ago, a shooting took place right in the complex and police sirens are heard all throughout the night.

Simply put, if you are looking for an Apartment, I would advise you based upon my experience with this Complex, NOT to waste your time and money because you will regret it in the long run.

These are facts and it can be backed up. Currently, there is a lawsuit pending against this community in the District Court of Maryland for Prince George's County, in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, for fraud and misrepresentations. You can view the lawsuit because it's a matter of public record.

The following is a website that talks about this very apartment complex. ACORN members are proud to organize for social justice and better neighborhoods. In Prince George's County, we have won sidewalks, crosswalks, improved police patrols, apartment repairs, and other changes. Join us, and let your voice be heard! Call us at 301-699-8000 to get involved. ALERT!! Prince George's County Executive Jack Johnson recently announced his strategy to stop crime in our county: he has identified 22 apartment complexes whose tenants deal every day with high crime and maintenance problems. He has said that if the landlords don't clean up the apartments, he will tear them down! There are more than 20,000 people living in these apartments! Where will everyone go? This is part of a clear effort by Prince George's County government to push out low-income people, and we won't stand for it. We will organize to hold landlords accountable for fixing up their apartments, we will hold the county responsible for adequate police service, and we will work to pass laws for affordable housing. We should all have a decent, affordable place to live! This campaign will take everyone standing up to fight for fair and affordable housing! Call 301-699-8000 to join the fight! Park Forest Apartments Manager09/19/2013
Park Forest is now UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT! My name is Joi Ervin; I am the new Community Manager for The Park Forest Apartments. Thank you for taking the time to comment, I appreciate your feedback. I am sorry to read about the frustrations you have experienced in the past. Since I have started with Park Forest I have implemented a number of changes based on resident feedback and what I felt the community needed. You may have noticed several of the changes in and around the community and I assure you that they will become more evident in the coming months as new initiatives begin to roll out. Peace of mind is an ideal that most people, across cultures, value greatly. As such, security is a concern to our residents as well. To do our part in the community, Park Forest has worked hard to set up a Law Enforcement Center right here within Park Forest Apartments. The Center is located at 642 Audrey Lane. The inclusion of the Law Enforcement Center means you will see an increased and dedicated police presence within our community with regular patrols, daily roll call and overall increased attention from the District 4 substation. This is your community too and we need your help! Please report loitering, strange activity and concerns to the leasing office so our officers can focus their patrols in these areas. If you see criminal activity or an emergency situation you should call 911 or the local police station immediately. As we continue to strive to deliver a new level of customer service, please know that we appreciate your comments and feedback. If you have any additional suggestions for how we can improve please email us at [email protected], call me directly at 301-567-0700 or stop in the office. I will be available every Friday from 12 pm to 3 pm to personally meet with you.
