Resident 2016

6/9/2016

Ok, let me start off by saying that I was trying to be optimistic about this place even with the bad reviews I had read. My budget is small right now because I am a full-time college student and I truly cannot afford much else even remotely close to my campus besides this place at the moment. Two things I like about living here: The leasing office staff is pretty nice. Not the most overly friendly group, but that's really ok by me. I don't particularly enjoy an over abundance of fake smiles and friendliness when I am in a business situation. I like that it is affordable.. and here's where my likes stop. This has got to be the noisiest area in baltimore/parkville. I am not kidding when I say there is CONSTANT loud music playing from morning until night (meaning 1am-5am as well). I am understandable and reasonable in the sense that I get that weekends are when people like to have fun/party or whatever but seriously... even in the early morning during week days? It's crazy. Another fun part of living here is the extremely small parking areas in front of the townhomes. There isn't even enough parking in front if each townhouse renter has one car... are you kidding me? I mean it also doesn't really matter where you park because your property isn't safe. My car was parked right in front of my townhouse and it was broken into not even six months into my lease. I'm sure i'm not the only one this has happened to and that really is ridiculous. Another fun part of living here is the quality of the place. Our plumbing is completely shot. We have had to buy tools to snake the drains because there is consistently a build up of water. Not even five months into our lease we had a pipe burst and flood our entire kitchen. I really cannot make up the terrible luck I have had with this place. Basically, you get what you pay for. And since my rent isn't extremely high, I get a really crappy townhouse/area to live in. No online payments for rent/water either which is kind of crazy considering it's 2016 and we live on the internet. I cannot wait for the day that my lease is up because I hate living here and would truly discourage anyone thinking of moving here. Unless you're cool with loud noise 24/7, people stealing your property, flooding, etc.
