I have lived in the community for about two years now and my biggest complaint is the way the sub metering company charges its tenants. I have never heard of a company (Studebaker SubMetering) that charges its tenants separately for two types of electric use one for actual use and the other for HVAC better known as Heating and Air Conditioning. On several occasions I questioned the property management company about my bill considering it was quite high and that I am always and mostly out of my apartment. My water use defies logic according to studebaker I consumed 2022.55 Gallons of water !!! and here is the the most dubious bill of all somehow my electric charges went from $27.57 to $68.35 when in fact my median bill from Jan to Sept 2019 was in the range of $11.00 to $20.00 and on my one bill during the summertime they even billed me for $4.81 cents and it's summertime!. I don't know what they are doing or if the billing company is not reading meter right but something is wrong for someone who travels a lot I can understand why my electric bill was low during the months I have mentioned but with the new billing I seriously question the methods they are using now. Today I just received a bill for water and electricity and its an all time high $130.00 again I question the integrity and method they use because I was gone for two weeks during those months and when I Ieave my apartment the HVAC is turned off so as my other electronic peripherals. So if you have questions with billing let them know or better yet let's tell the owner and management all together so it can be addressed properly.
