Great apartment - I now have some nice set of patio chairs and a pair of free weights (just joking)

Location is not very desireable. Not very close to anything except I270. You will have to drive a few miles for nearest grocery store, bank, convenience store, etc. which really started to get annoying. If you work in DC, I would not recommend commuting along the I270 - it is only 10 miles away but took me 45min to 1hour to get into DC. Traffic south on I270 is horrendous.

Apartment itself is very nice - I had a top floor loft - everything is fairly clean and new. Tennis courts, pool, clubhouse are very nice, not a problem getting onto tennis courts. I signed up for a fitness membership somewhere else because I didnĀ“t like the facilities here. There is only one trash bin for entire complex which was bad.

I paid a lot of money in part due to a short term lease.. Had no problems with the staff and (suprisingly) had no problems when I left (ie. no rediculous move-out fees which is uncommon for an avalon apartment)

I had no problems with theft as the previous poster had (the only thing i had stolen was my rent cash every month!) Too much money for the place.

I would recommend if you get a good price on rent [for luxury apartment complex] and you work in the area.
