Enclave Silver Spring

I´ve lived at Berkshire Towers for roughly 6 weeks. At first, I was impressed. I knwe it was an older complex, but felt that it appeared to be well-kept. Soon after I moved in, I started to see chinks in the facade -- one big facade. For example, it´s now 95 degrees and they will not turn the AC on. There are valid reasons for them not to turn on AC in April, but wouldn´t you think they´d proactively tell someone why we´re currently in a sweatbox. Maybe a note to residents -- I think that´s what you pay over $1100 per month for. Next, when opening the window to get air in my bedroom, the latch broke off -- now I can´t open the window. Next, the water temp is simply bad. Stay by for a roller coaster ride at times in terms of temperature. Lastly, I started to see a roach or two after 3 weeks. I scheduled for the exterminator to come solve this problem. I get home from work on extermination day, only to see a note on my door saying, "Could not get in"
Nobody called me at work -- it was simply neglected. I talked to the front desk about getting the exterminator back the next day. She said no, wait ´til next week, nothing I can do for you. I proceeded to talk with the general mgr who appeared to be genuinely concerned and mantioned that she´d make a concerted effort to get someone to my place the next day. I handed her my business card and requested that she call me to make sure this got done. 4pm, next day, no call. I called her and she told me that the reason no one could get into my place was that they never had a duplicate key. When I moved in they gave me the on;y key to the apartment!! I´m sure glad that I had emergency because I´d be out of luck. I was excited to live her for the first 2 weeks -- now I´m very disappointed and even when they fix the window and exterminate my roach roommates, I´ll be just waiting for the next problem. 5 months, 1 week until my contract is up......can´t wait.
