I lived in Hampton Plaza for over 5 years and was very happy there. I have to say it was the best apartment building I've lived in (and I've lived in dozens of places). The building is very solidly built, so I never had any problems with noise, but I also had some pretty quiet neighbors. Most of the noise comes from the street traffic, but Towson usually isn't that busy after 10 o'clock at night. The location is great if you like to be able to walk to shops, restaurants, movie theater, etc. One of the down sides is that there aren't any washers and dryers in the apartments. So, you have to take your stuff to the laundry room downstairs which can get very busy on the weekends. Also, I moved out before they stopped including the utilities in the rent. I can imagine the utility bills might be high, since the heat is electric and the windows are big and not thermal pane. The A/C units are also quite old and noisy. My units broke down several times, but the maintenance guys are pretty quick at swapping the units out and replacing it with a repaired one, usually the same day that I reported the problem. Parking in the underground garage is great, no scraping snow and ice off of your car in the winter. Finding a space can be a little problematic if you come home during the week before 5 PM (before the people who work in the offices go home). But, I always found a space. Overall, I was very happy living here and would recommend it.
