Resident 2017 - 2018

7/19/2018

If I could give University Village all zeros I would have but that wasn't an option. When I moved in, everything was placed properly but once you touched something it was broken. My microwave was broken the first time I tried to use it. When you used the garbage disposal or dishwasher, a disgusting black and brown liquid filled the kitchen sink. My air conditioning was broken and would not be fixed.. instead they put a huge and obnoxiously loud air conditioning unit that was poorly duct taped to my windows and each of my roommates windows onto our bedroom floors. The MOLD that was all over my bathroom did not get treated, instead the tile just got bleached over. There were ants crawling out of my shower tiles. The managers are the worst people you could ever meet. Andrew Palmer and Jane Brenner and Donna Shaffer clearly do not care about anyone or anything besides their paychecks. Don't rely on management to be polite or rational with you because they won't be. The gym has one working treadmill and everything else is broken. The ripped yoga mats are a nice touch. The amenities are not worth anything and the… See More>

    Terrible

Generally I don't like to read into negative comments too much but this complex is not worth your money. I moved in last fall and I can't WAIT to move out. You can hear everything that happens outside and inside even if all your windows and doors are closed. The walls shake from people running through the halls and up and down the stairs. Honestly not worth the price for these apartments. CA's don't do their job and is probably the worst place I've ever lived in. I recommend living elsewhere

      Huge Waste of Money..

Worst investment of my money possible, don't let it be yours. Each day there was something new that made me hate living at this place even more. To start out I'm writing this because of how poorly managed this complex is, I honestly think there are Freshman business students who could run this place better, in the least they would care more that some students have to pay close to a thousand dollars a month to live here. We recently had a large blizzard in the metro area and not only was the University Village not prepared for anything like it but days (a week plus now) after the whole place is still a mess. Even apartment complexes with close to half the rent handled the situation much better and the management seems to barely care. The sidewalks and paths around here aren't cleared and parking is a mess. Let me start from the beginning, I moved into a two bedroom, one bath, here and was immediately disappointed but how this place barely cleaned the apartment, the shower was disgusting, the floor was filthy to the point where if you walked on it with white socks they turned black within 5… See More>

Hands Down Worst Place I've Ever Lived

Where do I begin. Our kitchen sink was broken all year. They tried fixing it at least 20 times. Disposal never worked. A/C didn't work in the summer. They decided to replace our blinds and screens for no reason and made us pay for them. On two different occasions maintenance people entered our apartment without notifying us and damaged our personal belongings aka spilled paint on shoes and clothes, got grease on our personal sofa and bedding. Even though there are always parking spaces available, probably close to 40 extra spaces on even the busiest days, they refused to sell one of my roommates a parking pass for 3/4 of the year. More or less it is dorm with painted drywall walls instead of cinder block walls. Do you really want to pay $2700 a month for this. Do yourself a favor and get a penthouse downtown for the same price. We got a final bill today with over $1000 worth of cleaning charges that they have no record of what it looked like before they "cleaned" it, they just decided to bill us. Save yourself the headache and live anywhere but here.

          its worth it!

yes $670 may sound a bit overwhelming at first, but once you see all the extra ammeneties it has to offer, you are going to be sold. the pool, game room, gym and 24 hr business center with free printing are just some of the few extras the village has to offer. i love it here, its so clean and nice, plus its right next to campus. definitely a good move for a transfer! (or anyone else)

              Overpriced... POS

Apartments are digustingly dirty - over priced - only good part is you can find a party any night of the week at any hour of the night (or could be a bad thing). Oh and the people that work there are rude - good luck with maintenance and watch out for being billed for everything you didn't do.
