I've lived at Broadview Apartments for about a year, and for the most part, you almost get your money's worth. Reasonable walk to both UM Bus stops for Bursley-Baits and the #2 AATA makes it a cheaper but quieter place for students, and CMB has a shuttle that comes by your door on the hour during the winter. NCRB is 10 min walk away, and the little rec room will work in a pinch. Plenty of parking, free laundry, balconies are pretty and private (but with road noise from Plymouth Rd) and the floor plans are nice and open. Management is reasonable, water pressure is great, and you have your own heater/AC and water heater for each unit. My biggest complaint about the place is how awful the balcony doors and windows are; they're very old (probably still original from when the complex was built, which was awhile ago considering the "possibility of lead-based paint" warning I got when I signed the lease). Extremely inefficient; expect higher utility bills! Heat exchange was so great on the balcony-side wall that you could feel cold air rushing in through the outlets when you unplugged something. Plastic window insulation kits are a must!
