I thought I had found the perfect apartment. I had looked at several others before finally settling on Forest Place, and I picked it for the following reasons: -Furnished -Huge living room with tons of windows -Air conditioner -Decent location Seems great, but here's why it sucks: -Furniture 1. Uncomfortable beds 2. Broken desks/dressers 3. Living furniture was practically new, but very cheap and flimsy -Tiny bathroom with poor ventilation - perfect habitat for mold -Broken window blinds -Broken windows -Terrible maintenance in terms of both reliability and competence 1. They take forever to fix a problem - in an extreme case, we reported a problem upon signing the lease that wasn't fixed until two weeks before the lease was up 2. When they come to fix stuff, they'll most likely break something else 3. They charge you a ridiculous amount if some of their cheap equipment malfunctions 4. They'll come to "fix" things at the most inconvenient times -They let high school teenagers who constantly party and smoke pot live there -Inadequate laundry facility -Only one parking spot -Tiny kitchen that only one person can occupy at a time -Terrible mailbox setup - don't be surprised if your packages get stolen I know you can't expect to live in paradise when you're living in student housing, and compared to my friends' apartments, my apartment APPEARED to be nicer. In all honesty, all of this could have been manageable if the if the maintenance and management hadn't been so incompetent, and if the apartment hadn't been so expensive ($1500/month!). It's really only worth about $300 a month for all of the hassle that you have to endure to live here. Biggest waste of money in my life. Leaser beware.
