Resident 2007 - 2021

5/23/2021

Been living here for many years. Upgraded to a Two-Bedroom and I love it. Hate seeing the bad reviews though! We are very diverse, grounds and hallways kept-up. On bus line and shopping is close as well. In my Opinion I think Covid had a lot to do with our communications with our maintenance and office staff. Having to work at home and being safe on the job, I feel they got the job done as far as keeping the maintenance upkeep and still operating apartments as well as our grounds and hallways. Personally I hear the office staff of town and country thumbs up!

Do not rent here. The place is full of roaches. Moved in for not even a month and we had roaches coming out. This occurred right before winter and it's the worst time of year to be able to get rid of them. Management did not care that I told them there were roaches. They didn't even want to see proof or the pictures I took to show them, so they can call the exterminator. They mentioned okay I'll take care of it with no follow up till I emailed them leaving a paper trail for documentation to show to the court system. They don't care if you are in inhabitable conditions. Wish I could give 0/5 stars.

I've lived here for 9 months, and so far I'm extremely happy here. They pay your gas and the apartment is well insulated so even when I was running the air round the clock in summer my dte was never over $65. The maintenance man is very nice and very fast. He noticed my apartment was missing some blinds and he brought more right over without even being asked. The apartments are quiet at night and I feel safe. My only complaint is that there's no dish washer or washer/ dryer in unit, and I think the washer and dryer they have in each building is too expensive to use considering it's not that big. However, that's not a huge deal to me. Overall id HIGHLY recommend this apartment.

          Resident 2010 - 2016

I just wanted to update my older review. I have stayed living here since 2010 and still enjoy it. Buildings and grounds are kept up nicely and it always seems safe and quiet to me. Heat is still included in the rent, which is a big bonus to me. I would recommend to anyone. I have heard that cats are now allowed here, but would check with office staff to see what current policy is.

            I agree with "Nightmare!"

I lived in these same apartments for 15 years and saw them go downhill from a quiet, friendly complex run by a married management couple who, although somewhat obnoxious, ran the place the way it should be: if you gave them trouble or were late with your rent, you got a warning then you were out. That was before the bottom started falling out of the rental game for a while in the late 90's and early 2000's. Then the management company changed, routine and other maintenance was delayed or simply not done, and to fill apartments, the owners decided to rent a number of apartments to HUD recipients and to several state-run rehabilitation programs. I have nothing against people living there under ANY government assistance as long as they are quiet and respectful of the property, of each other, of the neighbors, and most importantly, of the law. Unfortunately, there were enough of the MAPS and HUD recipients moved in who did NOT respect much of anything that the place went downhill rapidly. I have to agree with everything the above poster wrote. It wasn't exaggerated, either. As a matter of fact, s/he didn't mention the actions of the… See More>

              Town and Country

I have a friend who lives at Town and Country and I may move into the complex. The apartments are very large and heat and water is included. The only problem is that a program called Light House is used to house drug and alcohol clients who are going thru detox treatment programs. So you have a HUGE turnover of temporary clients who come and go or are kicked out of the program for using again.

                WHAT A GREAT EXPERIENCE!

I have been a resident for two years at this community and have absolutely enjoyed myself! The rent is fairly cheap with heat included and talk about space! The floor plans are very spacious and offer a lot of extra storage. Although I must agree with the previous review in one aspect; the maintenance was horrific but the complaints did not fall on "deaf ears", they hired a new maintenace person after receiving several complaints and hit the jack pot with the new maintenance personel! He is very gracious and a hardworker and has made quite a few improvements in the short time he has been in our community. The resident manager is ALWAYS pleasant and ready to help out anytime I have ever had a question or concern. I recommend this community to all who ask me where I live!

                  Resident 2006 - 2009

                  3/21/2009

                  Nightmare: Avoid at all costs!

The Maintenance and Community are a nightmare! Cars are broken into and windows are smashed. Expect to see the occasional drug deal go down outside of your building, or an entourage of high traffic through your hallways! These same "frequent visitors" will buzz your intercom at all hours of the night and morning as they just randomly buzz intercoms so any one of your neijbors will likely just buzz them in. Complaints to staff fall on deaf ears. The maintenance/grounds man doesn't shovel or salt in the wintertime, and the heaping piles of snow at the entrance/exit of the complex will remain, even if you voice it to the grounds man. The maintenance man is too worried about trying to "be cool" with everyone than doing his job, and the maintenance man enters your apartment both without notice, and without leaving you something stating who entered your premises when and why. I also had the pleasure of having contractors show up without notice, knock and just proceed to enter with keys they were given to my apartment before I could get to the door. You will eventually see the maintenance man at work as he just knocks, and lets himself… See More>
