I have lived here for a year and I am was very disappointed, if you are handicapped good luck begging for a handicapped parking spot. if you need one I will tell you call fair housing for help. I have been waiting his whole time for a parking spot but I found out too late who to get help from. And they allow people that do not have placards to park there and I even showed them pix. And they cater to certain tennents more than others. The upstairs leaked and they did nothing to fix it while I was there and it ruined my leaf to my table. They (------- the manager)said they would fix it and then she turned around and said no. Plus they had shootings in the complex and one went thru the wall/ceiling and hit someone, security is not that good there.

Auburn Hills Apartments Manager

04/13/2011

This review is likely intended for a different community other than Auburn Hills Apartments. Apartmentratings.com has been asked to remove the post but they will not and have only hid the name of the manager mentioned in the review (which was Barbara). As the property manager of Auburn Hills Apartments for the past 7 years I would like to offer the following response or rebuttal to this review: 1. Several residents at this community have made requests for handicap parking spaces and have received them accordingly. As of the past year the office staff has received no pictures of someone parking in a handicap parking space. 2. Our company policy as well as state and federal fair housing laws prohibit us from treating residents or prospective residents unfairly or unjustly. 3. The leasing office has not received a complaint of any leak causing damage to a leaf table. As a general note, if the leak was caused by something out of managements control then any damage to personal items should be covered by a rental insurance policy which is required at our community. Furthermore, the manager Barbara who refused to fix the mentioned table does not exist. My name is Kate and I have worked here for 10 years and have managed the community for seven while you claim to have lived here for one year between 2008 and 2010. 4. Please check police report records available at the local police department as there have been no shootings. In fact, while reviewing these records you will likely find a low crime rate for this neighborhood. Finally, if this review is in fact a resident we welcome your written request for any repairs/issues or complaints to our office so we may have the opportunity to fix the problem or prevent it from occurring in the future. To any individuals that may be searching for a new home and reviewing our community through this site I encourage you to compare our community to many of our competitors as we have a respectable percentage rate and are proud to see that all of these reviews are in fact from actual residents.
