Condominiums at Auburn Ridge
Resident · 2011
Overall, we are pretty happy with our stay at Auburn Ridge. First, the good, our apartment is VERY quiet. Our next door neighbors have this horribly loud yippy dog, you can hear it LOUDLY every time you go up the stairs, but as soon as you walk in the apartment, silence. Very good sound-proofing. We did get smoke in our apartment near the door when our neighbors below smoked, so not sealed as well from top to bottom. The gym is not worth it, don't bother, its just 2 treadmills and what i suppose could be considered a weight bench. Our power went out 3x in 18 months, even when most folks nearby had it, but this is no the apts fault, just a heads up. The AC is in an insulated area on the balcony, not a standing unit, so is very inefficient, be prepared to pay a lot for AC. The roof also leaked and warped our ceiling due to ice damming in the spring, and maintenance shrugged it off, as long as we don't get charged, no big deal, It's not like we look up a lot anyways.. As long as they don't consider that our fault These are all small things that most apartments share. We have 3 major complaints. 1)the washer and dryer SUCK. The washer shreds our clothes. You can't use gentle cycle on the washer cause the clothes will come out sodden and dripping, the regular setting is destructive. The dryer does not have a gentle cycle at all. 2) The dishwasher leaves weird residue all over the dishes. Just aesthetic, but very annoying to wipe off. 3) We were planning on staying here another 18 months, but they raised our rent approximately $100, and the pet fee 10! Need less to say, we won't be staying. The place is nice, but not worth $800 a month.
