Resident 2008

12/8/2008

My name is Jessica Tower and I am one of the staff members at Summit Creek. We felt that it was important to respond to some of these posts. All of these posts are outdated and not a good indication of Summit Creek. For instance, our staff is entirely new from the time that the last review was posted! We have several long-term residents, comfortable and large apartments, great amenities, and it s a great value for the price. Our office team and maintenance staff have the goal in providing our residents with the best possible customer service. Looking at past posts, there were several complaints about staff, and we understand the frustrations that these people feel when they think no one is listening. We have all new staff and have put new policies in place to improve service quality and speed. Some of our apartments are right next to the Rouge River. A lot of people love the view of the woods and the privacy of these apartments, but it s true that if you live next to a lot of greenery, you will encounter bugs. If you hate bugs, you can choose an apartment in the front or the middle of the property. When I lived here, I did not encounter any such problems, and my apartment was in the middle of the property. We also provide complimentary ongoing pest control service, and you can sign your apartment up at any time. Unfortunately, no community can totally prevent all crime. However, we take measures such as keeping the property well-lit. I have both lived and worked on the property, and personally, I have never felt uncomfortable. Canton police department can provide statistics at the following link, if you are interested: http://www.cantonpublicsafety.org/ Wherever you live, please do not solely look to your apartment management to solve crimes, punish others, or otherwise control other people s behavior: that is what the police are for. As far as the parking goes, every apartment comes with a one or two car attached garage. You can park in your garage, behind your garage, in parking spaces, or on the street. With so many options, I have never heard a resident complain about not enough parking. To the people who experienced problems with water several years ago, let us express our sympathies for the sizeable inconvenience. I assure everyone, that issue has been solved long ago. Our maintenance team is great, and they perform regular preventative maintenance to spot small problems before they become big ones. We especially empathize to the person who had some of their belongings damaged. However, management cannot be responsible for peoples personal belongings, but your renter s insurance is, which is why we require all of our residents to be protected with insurance. There are so many great reasons to live at Summit Creek. Our apartments are very spacious and recently built. All come with an attached garage, washer and dryer, patio or balcony and ample closet space. Singh (our management company) offers a lot of unique perks such as the Home Start Program and preferred employer discounts. We even give $300 referral bonuses to our residents. Our community s architecture and landscaping is beautiful, we have prompt maintenance 24 hours a day, and staff on site to help 7 days a week. If you are a current resident and have a problem, please call us at the office (734-398-5300) and we will do our best to resolve this issue. If you are looking for an apartment, it will be our pleasure to introduce you to our community and answer any questions you have honestly and openly.
