Though we appreciate your complimentary feedback toward our community's aesthetic, we are sorry that your experience did not met your expectations. We do our best to accommodate our residents whenever possible and understand that moving can be stressful however, you were made aware that the home you were moving into was currently occupied and that our ability to transition a home for the next resident does depend on the condition that it was left in. Due to the condition of your home, we did require some additional time to return it to our high standards and notified you of this as soon as possible. Because of this inconvenience, we were more than happy to prorate the remainder of the month for you and reduce your move-in amount however, a reduction in security deposit was never discussed. Though we regret that we were not able to fit your needs at this time, we did agree to refund your reservation deposit, but because the address associated with your accounts was located in California, we did inform you that your refund could take up to 30 days. While we are disappointed that you've chosen not to call our community home, we wish you all the best in your future endeavors.
Ms. Roberts during your stay at Uptown Apartments there was dialogue with you regarding issues with your HVAC. To my knowledge and your confirmation, the air conditioning/heating was working and cooling/heating properly to the temperature set on the thermostat. Regarding your utility bills, when we spoke, I requested that you bring the bills to the office to discuss a satisfactory resolution yet, you did not bring the requested documents. In regards to your departure, the office was unaware that you moved out because you did not notify us nor return your keys or provide a forwarding address, all required on our lease. There was due diligence to locate you by calling your cell phone, place of employment and even contacting your emergency contact. Finally, a financial statement was mailed to your past Uptown address assuming it would be forwarded to your new address through the US Post Office. Unfortunately, the USPO did not have a record of a new address either. I am more than happy to review the final financial statement with you, please phone me at 734-495-9500.
