My roommate and I made an overage payment some time ago (while we were still tenants), and was notified by a member of the staff via a printed ledger. Upon moving out we were told there would be up to a 45-day hold on our security deposit and the overpayment amount (over $1,000). I can understand this for the security deposit, but not for the overage amount, as that shouldn't be held conditionally. We tried multiple times to get in touch with the property manager, but he "wasn't in" or "just stepped out" every time-that is if we could even get an answer instead of the answering machine. When they finally sent the check, they shorted us nearly $600 from our over payment. Another 5 attempts to call them and they still have not mailed the check out. Case and point, the office staff is completely unhelpful, the management is unwilling to be of service, and I will be escalating this process to make sure we get our money. We have attempted to contact corporate and the property now 7 times, and no one is willing to help us out. Never rent from this company.
