They will get you in on a special and then hike up your rent every year without updating your apartment at all. I started out with a one bedroom upper, with basically nothing in it for $685 and within two years my rent increased to $835. I was ONE DAY late renewing my lease and they wanted to charge me a hundred dollars extra a month for rent. I cried, I begged and pleaded with the office manager and corporate to just charge me a late fee but please do not raise my rent anymore because I would have to move due to not being able to afford it. They did not care! There were was no human emotion. I had never been late on rent once the entire time I lived there and that was what my loyalty got me. NOTHING! In fact I was rudely told it was my problem. So I put in my 30 days notice and moved. A lot of long term residents are being forced out of their homes due to this and no one in the office or management cares. And then you see a sign at the front stating they have GREAT SPECIALS... which they don't offer to you once they get you, instead they suck you dry financially and then spit you out when there is nothing left. The walls are thin, your bedroom faces the parking lot. They closed down the gym for four months last year for "renovations" which was basically just new paint and carpet. You can get more for your money somewhere else. Talk to the tenants if you are considering moving in, you will hear it from everyone. No one is happy!
