Roaches, Rats, Flooding... Laziness
DO NOT settle for looking at an "identical apartment to your unit" when touring. From screwed in drywall CIELING to painted-over water damage and a myriad of plumbing problems, you'd better have a good phone plan, because you're going to be in touch with Campus Village pretty often. I've had my bathroom flood from a hole in the ceiling (made by a nail that is used to secure the makeshift "shower" in place) and been handed a mop by maintenance, had my intelligence questioned by management when inquiring about having a water-DESTROYED wall replaced, and had to audio-record the noises of the rodents pit-pattering in my walls before pest control was called. The roach problem was neglected until I put the dead bodies (and live ones too! hehe)in a water bottle and brought it with me to talk to management. I've had my sink backed up (I'm talking about a week to drain a half filled sink) for about 2, maybe going on 3 months now. I've had all my sinks and my toilet acid-rinsed or whatever quick-fix maintenance uses at least twice EACH now. The hole about 1 by 2 feet wide in my wall behind my fridge was left for 3 weeks to a month before it was covered... by some flimsy board nailed to the wall. This was only after the roach exterminator told management himself that they should be ashamed as he looked through my apartment. oh, and my freezer? doesn't freeze so much as lightly cools... I get more frost in the fridge. I suspect that the ancient thing has a leak if not an outright hole... since the roaches were clearly living in the housing of it (and got to my MELTED frozen fruit) by the time I came back to the apartment after a few weeks back home. In short - stay the hell away.Share This Review
