I moved into The Palms in 2013, before Detroit's gentrification was fully in effect. I love this building. The views are gorgeous, the building is absolutely beautiful. My neighbors are friendly yet private. However, within two years my rent has gone up $200 a month, forcing me to leave. I am truly going to miss this place. I hope the next person who moves into my unit loves it as much as I did. My only complaints would be that the noise on Jefferson can be intense during the summer, but its something that should be obvious when looking at moving downtown. There are only 2 washers and 2 (working) dryers for the entire building, but usually I don't have an issue with waiting for washers and dryers to be ready. Parking can be an issue because there are not enough spots in the lot for every vehicle, so some people have to park in the street. However, this should not deter you from moving here because it really is a nice place to live.
