Resident 2012 - 2013

1/6/2013

I moved into my apartment in August and have been extremely happy every since. I live on the third floor in the pet-friendly building which is probably the best option and I never hear a thing except a door closing once in a while. However, there is a fire station down the road and you will hear sirens. The apartments are cozy and though the bedroom and kitchen suffer for it, the living room and bathroom are surprisingly spacious. I opted to furnish the apartment myself and it makes it easier to personalize and I even painted. Something that I love about the buildings is that they are pushed back a little and mine faces the treeline so I see animals a lot. Everyone in the buildings are friendly and quiet, not a real party place and everyone respects the fact that we all want a nice place to live. The laundry room is on the bottom floor and is small but better than going to a laundry mat. One thing they may trick you on is though the base rent is relatively cheap compared to others, with DTN you have to pay for internet, cable, pet rent if you have one, and then heat is added into electric, unless you're in the other two buildings which are boiler heat and are paid for. Overall, I truly love living here and have signed my lease for another two years and even get rewards for staying and the staff bring gifts around once in a while during holidays. Definitely ask as many questions as you can when you tour the places. It is a truly peaceful place to live and am glad I found it.
