We lived here for around 9 + years (3+ years in a 1 BHK and 77 months in a 2 BHK). The pipes and other items in this apartment buildings are very old. Top ceiling water leaks, rust damages, mold and pipe leaks, are common occurrences here. They'll not fix any of the maintenance issues immediately, but they'll ask you to pay for all the water leak issues related damages, they'll claim that these issues were never reported if you don't have any email proof, even if you have phone called them multiple times related to that issue. Don't just call them for any maintenance related issues, you should also send an email for all the maintenance related issues and keep a copy for your records, otherwise they 'll claim that the issue was never reported and the damages are severe beyond the normal wear and tear condition, I was even told by this apartment manager that I should have reported one of the water leak issue multiple times until the issue is resolved, since there is no record of my service requests, I must pay for the water damage now. I was told to pay $200 for stains on a 77 months old Carpet. (It was an old carpet when I moved in and I am not sure about the actual age of that carpet). This charge was removed later after showing an IRS document that explains related to rental carpet depreciation charged me $500 for kitchen cabinet stain removal, they did not provide me any expert statement that the actual damage was severe beyond normal wear and tear considering these are very old and they did not provide rapair work invoice or receipt for the work. I was told to pay $80 for 77 months old Window and door blinds damages. The tenants will be asked to pay for rust damages also, they will claim that those issues are actually paint damages and ask you to pay when you leave. So it is better to avoid this place if you have other choices.
