I can't speak on the community because we never lived there and after dealing with their staff never will. They have fraudulent business practices. If you fill out a credit application but decided to move somewhere else they will send you a bill saying the credit application is the lease. My daughter wanted to move here for school but needed a cosigner. Her dad agreed to be her cosigner until they sent him a lease. He told her he would not agree to be on her lease because that would make him responsible and he wasn't going to do that knowing we lived in another city. She called them and told them to cancel the application because her dad pulled out. We figured it was settled until today we get a huge bill over $12K. Saying its move out fees. How does she have move out fees when she never lived there and never signed a lease. She called and talked to someone named Brook who told her that if she paid $1000 she would clear the rest of the balance. First of all there shouldn't be a balance and second she's not paying anything. Brook told her it was a one time offer if she didn't take it then my daughter and husband would go to collections. She proceeded to tell my daughter that they approved her without the cosigner and that the credit application was the lease so my daughter is responsible for the balance. How when they never told her she was approved, never gave her keys, never gave her a move in date or an apartment number or anything and most important my daughter never paid a security deposit. I have contacted a lawyer, the BBB, MI housing authority and I'm going to keep going until this ridiculous bill is cleared. I would advise anyone looking to move to the place to make sure you have a good attorney in hand because it looks like we are going to have to take this one to court.
