I had a 1 bedroom at Copper Beech. For the price, the size wasn't bad. The problem with Copper Beech was twofold: 1) They did not seem to run criminal background checks on the residents they let rent there. There were problems with some of the residents there, and cops were around more frequently than anywhere else I was used to living at (I also lived at Arboretum in Kalamazoo). 2) Do NOT live in the 1 bedroom if you enjoy sleeping at night. The 1 bedrooms are located on the ground floor of the "town home" style buildings. Your bedroom is DIRECTLY beneath the kitchen of the 2 bedroom apartment above you. Anytime they are making food, eating or doing anything else in their kitchen, it sounds like they are coming through the floor. Luckily, we had neighbors who weren't up late too frequently, but there were a lot of nights I'd get woken up at 3am because they were up drinking still. Not necessarily my neighbors problem/fault, but directly related to the terrible building design and layout for the 1 and 2 bedroom town homes. From what I know about the 3 and 4 bedroom town homes, they are really spacious, and for the amount of space you have, the price is pretty good. Just stay away from the 1 bedroom apartments here.
