The two landladies told me how quiet the small complex was in its small corner of the neighborhood. The first month that we were there, I had to call the police because the guys upstairs had been yelling at each other for hours each day for 5 days. Dogs are allowed, but there are no restrictions on where dogs are allowed to relieve themselves, so people walk just outside their door and let the dogs go. There is no sound proofing between floors in the apartments, so you hear every step someone makes upstairs. My neighbor above me played fetch with their two dogs on a daily basis and we heard all the running around of the dogs, plus the dogs barked at each other and at anyone walking by. It made it difficult to study for school. Another guy in our building has a surround sound TV with a sub woofer and thought it was ok to play it at top volume. I asked the landlords ( 2 women) to please talk to these people and they told be point blank NO. They said they weren't going to deal with it. They did tell me that in two years they would be installing sound deadening materials under the carpeting, but until then I should wear ear plugs. They also charge people different prices. It can vary up to $75 per month. The maintenance guy got mad because they asked him to trim the grass around the building, so he threw grass and dirt through the open screened windows with a weed eater.Share This Review
