A few weeks after moving in, my car was broken into, and the person stole my iPod. I didn't leave it out, mind you, it was in my glove box. So someone had just thought it was a good idea to break into a random car, and happened to find an iPod. That's all they took, so would they just have broken the window and left if there was no iPod? Who knows.

Anyway, 3 of my friends live a building over, and all three of their cars have been broken into in a couple months. The rail on our balcony is detached from the wall, and there are no supports underneath, so out whole balcony is held on by one rail. Two screws.

The parking is ridiculous. Every apartment gets one carport, ours is very far away from our apartment, and the non-covered parking is for anyone. It's almost always full at night-time because of moron college kids having parties every day of the week. At times it gets so bad that I just will pull into a random carport and hope the person who has it doesn't need it and have me towed.

It's not well lit in the parking lot. I've been a little scared to walk in late at night when my car is far away.

The one thing that bothers me most is that the kids upstairs seems to wrestle or something, or the floors are just that bad that every step sounds like a bunch of bodies slamming into the ground. They will all run down the stairs as a group 2 or 3 times a night and it sounds like elephants doing laps in the hall. They play their music so loudly that I've been able to make out lyrics.

All in all, sure, it's pretty cheap, but I don't think it's worth it when you're afraid that you might wake up to a broken window or get mugged on the way in.
