I moved into Milwood with my at the time boyfriend in November of '05. A lot of people we knew had made fun of how run down the place was before we moved in, but I don't understand why. Yes the place is a bit old but everything in my townhouse was in good shape. There were a few issues with things in the kitchen - our dishwasher broke and the heating element in the stove died - but everything was taken care of ASAP when I talked to the office staff. I never had any trouble with rude office staff.

The only 2 real problems I had while living there were the parking and some issues with my washer and dryer. The parking is just annoying in general, and worse if you have a townhouse that's located in the cul-de-sac turn around. The only parking was on one side of the 6 unit building and half the time people from the apartments next door parked there, leaving you to park in the next lot over. And it really can be a pain to have more than 1 person over at a time because street parking is usually pretty full too. The washer and dryer issue: maintenance installed them because they were a free perk for signing a lease in November. But the way they installed them they constantly moved around, shifted side to side, and made A LOT of noise. I called the office about it but maintenance couldn't get them to sit properly. However as long as the basement door was closed it wasn't that loud, so it wasn't really a big deal.

I would recommend this place to any of my friends based on my experience.
