Resident 2009 - 2010

8/24/2010

I'll start with the good things: The management staff is very nice, the apartments were good sized and if you can get in on a special they are also very cheap. Now with the bad: the biggest flaw of these buildings is that they are all built with very thin floors, ceilings and walls. You can easily hear what your neighbors above and below you are doing and saying. This isn't so bad if you live in a quieter building, and I'm told they exist but I don't believe it. My neighbors were the worst part of my experience here and are actually the main reason I'm leaving. The neighbors above me have a young boy who they don't ever seem to control as he constantly runs and jumps from one end of the apartment to the other. From morning until late at night. I've spoken to management several times but the issue never ceases for more than a couple of weeks. Also, the people that live in this area seem to have trouble understanding the concept of using the door buzzer as they are constantly screaming and yelling for their friends/relatives/etc to open the door regardless of the time, or they may even just sit outside in their car with the music blasting and honk the horn for sometimes even a half an hour. Overall the layout of these apartments is not bad, the price overall isn't horrible either when you consider that the only thing you pay for is electric but the construction of the buildings is older and cheaper. If you're lucky enough to find a building with good neighbors or aren't bothered by noise than perhaps these are for you.
