Resident 2010 - 2012

8/22/2012

It is inspection season year-round at Riverfront! You can expect no less than 3 annual searches of your home! They look for the basics like building code violations that somehow manifest in the 3-4 months between searches, and they look for stranger things like house keeping and appearance of your apartment. If you are lucky you will get a full 24-hours notice before the search, but too often they give notice in the evening and then enter the very next morning. My privacy constantly feels violated at Riverfront; they have even demanded to go through my bedroom and closets! During Commonground, a fence is put up by the city that cuts off your access to the river and river trail from mid May to mid July. Riverfront is in a great location, but the homeless think so too. They are everywhere and too often come onto your porch or even look in your windows. And that is not to even mention their regular drunken fights, but if you want to see someone beaten within an inch of his life any given night then Riverfront is your place. The pluses are that the rental rates are very reasonable and the grounds are very well maintained. Also, the maintenance guys are fantastic. They even have the decency to respect your privacy and home. Overall, I would give Riverfront a 2.5. I really have enjoyed living here, but I just cannot stand the constant searches. They will even joke in the main office about it being "inspection season year round."
