Very disappointed in my stay at Novi Ridge. First off, we had ants from the first day we moved in all the way through the fifth month. They were in the shower, kitchen and both bathrooms. I continually contacted management about this problem and it always seemed to be, "we are working on it". I have a one year old and I had to bathe her in a tub surrounded by ants and you take 5 months to solve the problem? Well of course you think they would do something to accomadate for your inconvienece. Instead they took $125 off one months rent(which is way overpriced for the quality of the townhome). Once that was resolved, thought I was free and clear. Then we ran into another problem. The air conditioner which was probably as old as the complex itself was going bad. You could tell just from when you turned it on everytime. I warned the office of this and told them their a/c was probably on its way out. Well sure enough, during that extremely hot week we had this summer it died. Instead of replacing the dinosaur they tried to fix it at least three times which never worked. For at least 4 days we were without a/c during those 100 degree days! Finally maintenance who said it should have been replaced the first time they tried to fix it convinced management we needed a new a/c. Our new neighbors who moved in a couple months before we moved out started talking about problems with ants and bees and management was just as on top of it as they were with our problems. I should have listened to these reviews before I moved in, but thought its Novi, it can't be that bad. I was wrong. Do yourself and take the hint that all these negative reviews do mean something. Bad management(Dawn especially), overpriced townhomes for the lack of updates in them, and pest problems are the reason we moved out and the reason you shouldn't move in. Oh and don't let the siding updates fool you, the inside is still a wreck.
