Resident ā€¢ 2012

UPDATE: So I used to recommend this place but have since switched it to NO. Let me tell you why. The term "------" basically describes this place. The simple fact that I do not feel safe here pretty much does it for me. Not only do I have crackhead neighbors, but since their dealers, I have heard people threatening them in the hallway. Its enough to scare the crap out of you. Over the weekend I was walking into my building late at night and some guy was following me. I had never seen him before. I got into my apartment and called the police, convinced it was a crackhead after me. The police came and checked the place out and found out it was the maintenance guy. Oops. But still, who the hell is doing maintenance at 10pm on a friday night? Anyways, I explained to the police that I have very shady neighbors. Just the fact that I felt compelled to call the police is proof enough that this complex is not a safe community. Not even 3 hours after I called the police I heard a gun shot from across the street. Great. Here are some other recent problems: Dog poop in the laundry room. REALLY people? So disgusting. The crazy lady allows her dogs to both pee on the landing right outside the building door on the cement, so I'm walking through their pee everytime I go in and out. Nice huh? I sent management an email about the dog pee along witha picture of the dog poop in the laundry room. No call back and not even an email back. I'm in customer service and I know that at the very least there should have been an email back. I'm appalled. Management obviously doesnt care about the state of their buildings or their residents. ORINIGAL POST: Ok, here is my honest review of the place. I moved here around September and I still live here currently. So I may have to update this review after I move out. Pros: -Price for space. Our apartment is pretty big for a two bedroom. Even has a dining area. We pay $724 (we have a dog, so its an additional $15 per month) -Location, location, location. Its the perfect location. If it werent for the loaction I wouldnt be recommending this place. -Dog Park. They have an enclosed area where my dog can run. He loves it, I hate it because they never stock it with doggie poop bags. It went 3 months with no bags. That is pretty much where the pros end. Now on to the cons.. My very first night in this apartment, I moved in (by myself, my boyfriend wasnt home) (It was a saturday night around 9pm) I took a load of things up to the apartment and locked my truck (my dog was in my truck along with all of my belongings) My truck beeped, the usual noise that cars make when you lock them. Nothing real obnoxious. I came back, got more things and my dog, and locked the truck again. While I waiting for my dog to find his right spot and tinkle, I hear this obnoxious woman start yelling at me from her window. "who the f*ck keeps beeping their horn like that? Is that you, you little b*tch. Come over here i'm going to f*ck you up. Yeah I'm talking to you. I hope you have a man around to watch your back because i'm gonna f*ck you up" So I dont say anything to her and just go up to my apartment. After that, it was like nothing happened. The women was/is always polite as can be to me. I started to come to the realization that she must of been on drugs when she flipped out on me. In part, because there are always creepy strange men going in and out of her apartment. I have even seen some slurring their words and falling around on the stairs.I do know for a fact that a girl that lives above this woman has called the police many times and complained about her loud parties. So if that isnt great enough, we got new people that moved in across the hall from the "crazy lady" which is what we call her. I caught the crazy lady passing something off to them in exchange for money. Shes obviously dealing right out of her apartment. Not to mention everytime you pull into the parking lot everyone pulls their blinds back and stares you down to make sure your not a cop. Sorry to rant on here.. on to the CONS: -MOLD!!!!!!!!!!!! do NOT live in an old building with the older windows. We have black mold ALL OVER the windows the water is literally dripping off the windows on the inside. First off, that is UNHEALTHY. When i complained to the management, they told me to wipe the windows down everyday. WOW THANKS. When i move out i will be filing a complaint with the state. -The laundry in the basement. There are 2 washers and 2 dryers (coin operated) for 16 apartments! Their in the basement of the building, its disgusting down there. We call it the 'rape room' because no one would hear you scream down there. Everytime we go to do laundry someones clothes are left in the washers and we cant. I have currently been waiting for two days straight and the same clothes are in the washer. HELLO PEOPLE!!!!! -Creepy people. There are some questionable people around (the drug dealers) -Poorly lit. I hate taking my dog out at night when my boyfriend isnt home to watch us. Its dark and just plain creepy. -DOORS. There are two bedrooms, a door to each one, and two bathroom doors. NONE OF THEM CLOSE. Our bedroom door is too big for the frame, so if you do succeed in closing it you have to pull super hard to get it to come open. The other doors are also too big for the frames, and its because they slop 50 coats of paint on them every time someone moves out. they even painted over the electrical outlets. talk about lazy. I filled out a maint. order for the doors to be fixed, and i told them what day and what time. they didnt show up. instead they show up the next day as im leaving and i tell them to come back another day because i want to be home while their in my apartment. they never came back. THANKS A LOT. -The fan in the bathroom. it does absolutely nothing. it is NOT sucking up air and therefore moisture stays in the bathroom and MOLD GROWS. we have had them in our apartment to also fix a leaking toilet that caused mold to grow everywhere. -the basement has flooded twice now. and when it does they close it down for two days straight and bleach the crap out of it. the first time it happened i thought for sure someone got murdered down there. so i wasnt able to do laundry for almost 4 days, do you think they gave us any money back? no they didnt. dont i pay for that with part of my rent? So i hope my review was helpful to some of you. I know when i went looking on here before i moved in i was hoping for more information. i will update this when i move out.
